Homestead: A brief history of our places
A group of drawings that investigates Montana towns as families built their lives and their communities from the ground up. The drawings depict loggers, women in their kitchens, farmers, and children playing (and working). The after church picnics, the county fairs, people eating their farm grown produce, the relationship and dependency to the animals and landscape. The hardiness that allowed homesteaders to make a wild place their own.
